Mountain shadows retreat will always be a special place for us! We got married in sf city hall and we wanted to get away with our family and friends for the weekend. This place blew our minds! Brian and Scena are wonderful!

Brian was a pleasure to work with. Very easy to get in touch with. He made us feel so welcomed. The house was beyond perfect for our pre wedding festivities. Had a lovely bbq there as well as rehearsal dinner. You cannot beat that pool and view. The house was so comfortable as well. Whether you get married here or just book it for a family gathering, you will not be disappointed. Absolutely perfect!

We had staff from around the country that had not yet met each other and Mountain Shadows was the ultimate location to set up shop and focus on our business for a few days. The Shadows staff were great and the views are magical. The house was perfect for our team of 10. We also used the tiny homes that are on the property for additional lodging. Those were so creative and unique with big windows looking out into the Canyon. We are looking forward to coming back to Mountain Shadows twice a year and make it our special meeting retreat. Outstanding stay.

We hosted our 15 person team at Mountain Shadows & Miners Cabins. It was the perfect size for us all. Everyone could have their own room, and there were several different breakout spaces. The location was beautiful and and all the accommodations were good quality. Would highly recommend!

From our first interaction with Brian, to the efforts made to meet our time schedule, the Mountain Shadows group was amazing to work with. The setting was inspiring and really helped to fuel the creating thinking we needed to tackle our work. And the relaxing setting was great to unwind with at the end of the day.

We just had our wedding here and it was more than I could possibly imagine. We kept our guest list small and intimate which was perfect so you could really enjoy the views and all the property had to offer. The house on the property is stunning and the reception site is so beautiful you hardly need any decor. The ceremony site is so beautiful with the most perfect background. Highly, highly recommend.

My wife and I rented mountain shadows for our wedding. We had 4 other couples stay with us for the rehearsal and wedding night. The venue is really nice in letting people spread out inside, it worked out great for sleeping arrangements. We had about 75 people come out for our wedding and everyone fit comfortably underneath the barn area. The ceremony on the fake grass area overlooking the mountain was spectacular. The host was great and even let us stay an extra day. The fireplace area outside was a great hangout for pictures and cigars both nights and was cozy even though it was cold. The only thing missing was a hot tub! We would love to rent the place out again in the heat of summer to enjoy the river, mountains, and pool.

Every single guest said “absolutely stunning” venue. Make sure to book extra days so you can enjoy the quiet and serene atmosphere you are staying in.

We had our wedding at Mountain Shadows Retreat and it was everything we could have imagined and more! Foresthill may not be the first place that comes to mind when you start talking about bachelor parties - but as a group of friends spread around the country - Mountain Shadows was the perfect location to gather and have a great time. There is a nice hiking trail right near the property and plenty of space for everyone (it's really an entire complex). The tiny homes were fun - and very functional!

We were treated with stunning sunsets every night. Brian and Maryssa were incredibly responsive and did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend.
