Our property features a heated pool, covered outdoor fireplace, 3,500 square-foot barn deck, an expansive kitchen, and various on-site tiny homes. Sleeping up to 24 guests, there is a little bit of something for everyone at Shadows!

With our list of trusted, local vendors and a variety of spaces to hold your ceremony, we’re here to make sure that happens. Whether you envision a backdrop of lush greenery or panoramic mountain views, Mountain Shadows is the place to create unforgettable memories with loved ones.
The House
Our spacious home offers a comforting and peaceful stay for you and your guests. Sleeping up to 24 people, the house features a secluded primary suite with an ensuite bathroom, lofty living rooms, and an inviting kitchen. Additionally, our one-bedroom apartment, tiny homes, and separate casita are great options for guests, offering multiple on-site accommodations. Indulge in the heated pool and outdoor fireplace or lounge on the expansive attached deck to take in scenic views during quiet moments. Experience relaxation, create everlasting memories, and unwind all while celebrating your love at Mountain Shadows.
Ceremony Spaces
With three acres of forest property, we have various idyllic backdrops to host your ceremony. The Overlook has sprawling views of the American River Canyon, offering many opportunities for gorgeous portraits and sunset ceremonies. With expansive views of the mountains, this is the perfect place to commemorate your romance.
The Barn Deck offers a partially covered outdoor space, serving as a warm and inviting area for guests to mingle. With 3,500 square feet of rustic charm, this is the perfect place for post-ceremony festivities. Enjoy cocktail hour, serve a delicious dinner, and dance the night away under twinkling lights with those you hold near and dear.
Guest Lodging at Miner’s Camp
Our 3,500-square-foot, partially covered barn deck is a unique setting for dinner and post-matrimony celebrations. With lovely views and romantic lighting, you and your guests can eat, drink, mingle, and dance the night away. The barn deck is also a beautiful outdoor space for other events like breakfast, rehearsal dinners, and more. From the welcome party to the post-celebration brunch, the deck is a versatile venue for celebrating with your loved ones!
